At SSA we understand and acknowledge the importance of learning and continuous upskilling by providing training programs and development opportunities for our team. Recently our senior management team who are involved with design of apartment units including those as called Class 2 Building, attended a waterproofing course provided by TeleTraining. With the hope to gain better understanding of the latest technology available and the most efficient way of applying them in our design.
At SSA, we believe to share the experience that we have gained through completing projects and contribute to creating a stronger industry. Within the last one and half years, our Managing Director, Shahab Rad, assisted Acknowledge Education as part of their Course Advisory Board, in developing a new course for Bachelor of Construction Project Management. The course recently approved by TEQSA and has a special focus to be practical and industry oriented for the students. Last Monday, the 17th of October, Growthbuilt hosted a ceremony to celebrate the commencement of Angilare Sydney’s newest project aimed at social and affordable housing here in NSW. The project looks to turn the already existing Port Kembla Steel Works Hotel into 30 new social housing homes. Two of our SSA project managers, who have been working around the clock to bring this vision to life, had the honor to attend and witness this great milestone. Alongside in attendance showing great support and involvement was the NSW Minister for Communities and Justice, Hon Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, State member for Wollongong.
We are looking forward to the opening of this newly designed 6 storey hotel and suites in the Penrith region. SSA was engaged to deliver both civil and structural engineering services. SSA is also proud to be contributing to the growth in the post covid re-build to the tourism industry in Western Sydney.
SSA was engaged to deliver structural engineering services for the RSPCA in Yagoona. We are proud of successfully delivering the service and feel proud to be a part of the community supporting the health and care of animals in NSW. Earlier this year the Accor Stadium completed their final upgrades and re-opened to the public. SSA had the privilege to contribute our engineering expertise and experience to this project. Every day we are exposed to new challenges and these larger projects really help us to develop our engineering skills further.
We had every possible ground challenge on this site in Sydney’s North Shore. A deep excavation with: • High water table level • Close proximity to boundary lines • Caring for heritage adjoining buildings • Protecting public assets including Sydney Water • No permission for anchoring on some sides To address different issues, we designed a hybrid solution including secant pile with anchors, protected batter, horizontal brace, raked props, tailored to each matter.
The construction of a multistory development is well underway in New Castle. As SSA is growing we are proud to be taking part in engineering of new developments all across NSW.
